No. Employees, contractors, suppliers and customers do not need accounts to submit safety reports. They can report issues confidentially using the "Public Issue Reporting" module and may optionally enter their name and email address.

Users need accounts to receive email notifications, track training requirements, manage investigations, conduct audits, access the Safety Communication Board and track their safety program performance.

Not directly - but Part 5 Automation Tool pricing is designed to scale with the size of your business, so we ask customers to purchase a product that will fit their level of use. This means purchasing enough user accounts to match your needs.

So while we don't charge "overage fees" as such, you should expect your database to grow over time. You'll need to purchase enough accounts to match that growth as it occurs. Your account will be reviewed annually and adjusted when necessary.

Onboarding services include:

  • Purchasing dedicated domain name for your portal, such as
  • Setting up your portal, including templates and custom modules;
  • Configuring email coming from your safety portal's domain;
  • Importing users;
  • Configuring additional divisions and modules; and
  • Holding your SMS Administrator's hand during setup process.

Yes. All new Compliance, Pro and Enterprise customers need to buy onboarding services to get properly started with your SMS software implementation.

SMS database implementation is about much more than just using a bunch of software to setup your SMS program; it’s about transforming your business to create an SMS program employees will tolerate, and even embrace. This is much easier to do with the personal support of our dedicated SMS consultants.

Yes. Compliance, Pro and Enterprise contracts are billed annually by default.

We’ve found that customers who can commit to a full year of using the SMS database will be more successful in the long run. Since your long-term success is our goal, we want to encourage those practices that support that goal. Bottom line: Annual contracts make happier Automation Tool customers. And we want you to be happy.

If you require special consideration, please talk to your account representative. Please note that quoted prices above reflect annual payments.

For Compliance, Pro, and Enterprise customers, phone and email ticketing support is included in your subscription fee. This allows you to have your questions answered by SMS database specialists. For each portal, only one administrator is permitted to contact support. This reduces conflicting requests from multiple users.

Of course, all users can access the online videos and documentation. Documentation is very good and will walk you step-by-step through the most common processes.
